Q: Can you customize my template for me?
Nope, you don't need one yet. You can build your entire site inside Showit and connect your domain whenever you’re ready. But it's a great idea to go ahead and claim the domain you're thinking of as soon as you're ready - I recommend using GoDaddy!
Q: Do I need a domain first?
YES!! We work to provide photographers, wedding pros & service providers with ready-to-go, gorgeous web designs that do the hard work for you. Our templates are simple to customize and make your own! It'll take some effort on your part, but with help from me and the Showit team you'll have a site your proud of up in no time!
Q: Can I do this if I'm not creative or a designer?
You'll get email support directly from me! You also get template-specific video tutorials, a getting started guide, and a launch checklist to walk you through setup, customization, and launch. Plus, you'll get direct access to the wonderfully helpful Showit support team and FB community — real help from real humans who use Showit every day & actually care how your site turns out.
Q: What kind of support will i get?
Showit will host your website, but if you'd like to have a custom email for your domain (ie: support@awesomesite.com), you'll need a separate email hosting account. I highly recommend Google Workspace - it's affordable & super user-friendly.
Q: Can I have a custom email address through Showit?
You'll need to be on a desktop computer in the Chrome browser to edit your site in Showit.
Q: Can I use showit on my phone or mobile device?
Literally everything. Colors, fonts, layout, sections, images, shapes, spacing, copy — if you can click it, you can change it. You’re never boxed in, which is why photographers & creatives love Showit.
Q: what can i change in my template?
Absolutely! The Showit platform has powerful SEO tools built right in to help ensure your site gets found! Plus, your new template is built with smart, SEO-friendly design so Google can understand and rank your content.
Q: Is showit good for seo?
All of the images used in our templates are royalty free stock that you are free to use! We use free fonts wherever possible, but each template includes 1 custom font to help achieve that luxe aesthetic. We'll provide a link to license custom fonts for use on your own website with your template documentation.
Q: Can i use the template's fonts & images?
You'll just need a Showit account (there's a free 14-day trial!) to load your template and begin customizing. When it's time to publish your site you'll need to be on a paid subscription. Get a free month of showit using code "PINKERTON"!
